Our Mission
To be global leaders in building brave, brilliant and inquisitive young people who are committed to the
positive growth of themselves and others.
Our Vision
To prepare our young people for a rapidly changing world by providing a holistic and personalized
curriculum which instils in them a global perspective and a commitment to our core values.
Our Purpose
To educate the youth of the world to take their productive place as leaders in the global community.
At EIS, we recognize that everything starts with our Core Values. Along with our Mission & Vision, our
Core values are our ‘RECIPE’ for who we are, what we do and how we do it
We believe that every learner is gifted with boundless potential and that our role as educators must be
to awaken the various forms of intelligence and spark curiosity about everything in the real and abstract
world.
Our purpose-built Early Years Centre (EYC) is located a few meters drive away from the main road, mid-way, Ezulwini, behind Crescent Mall, Corner Plaza. A small school in its own right, EYC provides our
Nursery and Reception children with a happy, safe and enriched learning environment. Supported,
nurtured and inspired by our early years’ experts, our youngest learners have access to a broad
curriculum that enables them to build strong foundations in core skills, as well as develop interests and
nurture passions.
Our Early Years programme is where we lay the solid foundations for each individual child’s success. Our
approach is simple-we know your child so that we can support their individual learning needs every step
of the way
Our Early Years curriculum ensures a strong foundation for learning, with our youngest learners given
ample opportunity to learn through play, whilst developing important literacy and numeracy skills to
ensure that they are able to thrive in all areas of school life.
Our skilled Practitioners support our youngest learners to develop in key areas like communication and
language, gross and fine motor skills and mark making while at the same time encouraging them to
become independent learners who remain curious about the world around them. This is done by
tapping into each child’s interests to keep them engaged and challenged as they discover and explore.
Our EYC learning environment, both inside and outside, is well-resourced and offers a wide range of
multi-sensory learning opportunities that are linked to the local and international Curriculum. We
balance play-based learning with the teaching of fundamental literacy and numeracy skills, PE and music
lessons, as well as social and emotional skill development.
Siswati is taught as an additional language through a combination of discrete teacher-led sessions, and
as part of continuous provision, with our outstanding teachers encouraging authentic and natural
language acquisition amongst our youngest learners.
Throughout their time at EYC, our young learners have opportunities to follow their interests and take
ownership over their learning. This is encouraged through first-hand experiences that create a sense of
awe and wonder for children, inspiring them to learn more about the world around them.
Children’s brains develop connections faster in the first five years than at any other time in their lives.
This is the time when the foundations for learning, health and behavior throughout life are laid down.
In fact, by the time they turn five 90% of their brain will have been developed.
Our curriculum and approach are designed to ensure that a strong foundation is laid down to support
your child’s further development throughout their life.
